2024 Mazda CX-30 Range Headlined With New SP25 Variant

Inside, all Mazda CX-30 grades are now equipped with USB-C connections in addition to wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Ascending the line-up, the Mazda CX-30 SP25 represents a new step in the range.  The CX-30 SP25 combines Mazda’s recognised SKYACTIV-G 2.5 litre petrol engine and front-wheel drive, in a stylish and distinctive offer.  Output figures of 139 kW and 252 Nm are produced by the unstressed powertrain, achieving 7.3 l/100km and 171 g/km.

Design-wise, the Mazda CX-30 SP25 appears dynamic from any angle.  Generous 18-inch alloy wheels finished in gloss black, provide a striking impact, particularly when paired with gloss black exterior mirrors, dark-tinted privacy glass on the rear windows, and black exterior accents.

The interior is emphasised with red accents for the sports cloth seat trim, and as per other Mazda CX-30 grades, a colour head-up display features along with an instrument panel incorporating a 7-inch TFT display.

The Mazda CX-30 Limited adds another layer of luxury and refinement to the range.  Identified by its glass sunroof and adaptive LED headlights, silver metallic 18-inch alloy wheels complete the Limited’s high-quality exterior.  The interior of the Limited grade continues to feature luxurious leather upholstery and a Bose 12-speaker audio system and adds Qi wireless mobile phone charging and a 10.25-inch central infotainment display.

Headlining the Mazda CX-30 range, the Takami features the innovative SKYACTIV-X M Hybrid engine.  With its ability to burn petrol more efficiently thanks to Spark Controlled Compression Ignition (SPCCI), the CX-30 Takami makes more power yet produces fewer emissions than a comparable petrol engine.

The SP25 name returns to the range.

The highly recognised SP nameplate has featured prominently in Mazda’s range over the past two decades.  Synonymous with special Mazda grades, the SP preface stands for sports inspired, sophistication and performance.  Traditionally SP models have offered higher capacity engines matched to stylish design cues and enhanced equipment levels, all with the focus of uplifting the driving experience.  

First seen on the Mazda 323 Sporthatch SP20 in 2001, three generations of Mazda3 have worn the SP23 and SP25 insignia since, all the way up to 2019.  More recently the SP20 name has been applied to both Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30, along with the Mazda CX-5 SP25T, continuing the theme of stylish performance.
