First Ever Mazda CX-8 a Smooth Operator

Having seven people in a SUV, spread across three rows, could have been a recipe for a conversation disaster. However, Mazda has created a quiet cabin environment through improving Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) performance. 
This was achieved by adding dampers to the front struts and vibration dampening materials to the rear fender panels. Wind noise has been reduced by minimising the gaps of both exterior and interior panels and putting a partial seal around the rear tailgate and designing aerodynamic roof rails. Enhanced noise insulation with sound-absorbing materials have been put into the headliner, floor and base of the D-pillar. 
Driver and passenger safety is at the forefront of all Mazda designed vehicles and this continues with the First Ever Mazda CX-8 adopting a range of i-ACTIVSENSE safety features. 
David Hodge says one of the biggest changes he has noticed in recent years is the level of sophisticated safety technologies available in Mazda vehicles.

Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) is included for the first time in a Mazda and is standard across all CX-8 models. Linked to the Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC), and using the navigation system and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), ISA provides additional speed limiting warnings. 
The SKYACTIV-BODY in the CX-8 has a multi-path structure to disperse crash energy away from the passengers. All five rear seating positions include top-tether child-seat restraint anchor points while two ISOFIZ anchor points are equipped to the outer two seats in the second row.
