The title of Mazda's Supreme Dealer of the Year does not come lightly. All areas of the dealership operation are evaluated, including vehicle and parts sales, service department performance and customer satisfaction results.
Mazda New Zealand Managing Director, David Hodge says the team at Fairview Motors have built a formidable reputation for excellence right across the board and developing lasting relationships with its customers.
"2017 was a momentous year for Mazda all round, with record New Vehicle Sales and what better way to celebrate this than by rewarding those that made it happen," he says.
"Dennis Sexton and his team at Fairview Motors have not only exceeded their annual sales targets, but they are dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service, creating the ultimate Mazda experience for their customers."
Sexton says he is extremely proud of the hard work his team puts in, and their commitment to putting customers first.
"We're honoured to receive the Dealer of the Year title for the fifth time and I credit this to our team's passion and commitment to the Mazda brand and our loyal customer base."
Along with Fairview Motors, five other Mazda Dealerships were recognized for their outstanding performance in 2017, with Blackwells Mazda (Christchurch), Pacific Motor Group (Whangarei), Bay Mazda Napier, Nicholson Mazda (Whakatane) and Gisborne Motors all receiving Dealer Performance Awards.
South Auckland Motors Service Advisor, Merv Perry was also recognised for his excellence in customer service, receiving the inaugural Clearwater Award for Excellence named after former Managing Director of Mazda New Zealand, Andrew Clearwater.
