Christchurch’s Blackwells Mazda has won Mazda’s 2018 Dealer of the Year for delivering excellence across all parts of their business.
The title of Mazda’s Dealer of the Year does not come lightly. All areas of the dealership operation are evaluated, including vehicle and parts sales, service department performance and customer satisfaction results.
Mazda New Zealand Managing Director, David Hodge says the team at Blackwells Mazda have continued to improve year on year and consistently look at innovative ways to grow their business.
“Our dealer awards are all about celebrating and rewarding the dealers who have gone above and beyond for our customers in 2018 as well as exceeding their sales targets.
“Dealer Principal Seth Ovens and his team at Blackwells ensure every customer has an ultimate Mazda experience through the purchase of their new Mazda vehicle.”
Seth Ovens, says he is extremely proud of the hard work his team puts in, and their commitment to putting customers first.

Along with Blackwells Mazda, five other Mazda Dealerships across New Zealand were recognised for their outstanding performance in 2018, including, Nicholson Mazda (Whakatane), North Harbour Mazda (Auckland), Pacific Motor Group (Whangarei), Palmfeild Motors (Palmerston North), and Wanganui Motors (Wanganui).
The Mazda network is divided into three groups for the awards: Metropolitan Dealers, Provincial City Dealers and Rural Dealers. The top two scoring dealerships in each group become Dealer Performance Award winners, and the top scoring overall dealership is named Mazda Dealer of the Year.
