With 807 new vehicles sold, January 2015 stakes its claim as the highest single month ever in Mazda New Zealand’s history.
Following eleven consecutive months of record sales for Mazda New Zealand, the new year has kicked off with the best ever January sales and subsequently now sees a full twelve month run of record results.
January produced a number of new bests for Mazda New Zealand and the motor vehicle industry, with new vehicle sales the strongest ever recorded for this time of year.
Andrew Clearwater, Managing Director of Mazda New Zealand says the entire company and dealer network are thrilled to see more success on the back of a record 2014.
“This is an exceptional start to the year and we are focused on sustaining this momentum throughout 2015, especially as we strengthen our brand offering even further.
“Contributing factors to our success is not only the appeal of our new-generation showroom but we must acknowledge the efforts of our hard working dealer network, without whom this success wouldn’t be possible.”
While the entire Mazda line-up contributed to the overall success a few shining stars achieved some records of their own in January.
The all-new Mazda2, which only launched in December, reached 171 sales in its first full month of sales – the best ever month for the Mazda2 since first launching the nameplate in 2003.
The Mazda3, which took out the coveted title of 2014 NZ Car of the Year, had its second best sales month ever since first being released in 2004.
“The year ahead is going to be a very exciting one for Mazda and we have our sights set high. We are looking forward to the new Mazda6 and new CX-5 which have both been significantly upgraded, as well as the first ever CX-3, all of which will see us power ahead with one of the most comprehensive offerings in the market,” says Clearwater.
