The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) was set up to provide new car buyers with independent and information on the level of occupant protection provided by vehicles in serious front and side crashes.

Working with international sister organisations such as; Euro NCAP, JNCAP and KNCAP, ANCAP shares test data and uses globally recognised testing standards to test new vehicles as they come onto the market.

ANCAP Crash testing for safety

The tested vehicles are all awarded star ratings to show the level of safety they provide in the event of an accident. The higher the ANCAP star rating the better the vehicle performed in the tests. 5 stars is the maximum number of stars able to be awarded to any vehicle and has been applied to several of our models. See each model page for its individual ANCAP rating.
