Boasting a dynamic, attention-grabbing design, the all-new Mazda2 presents unmistakeable Zoom-Zoom styling with a distinct European influence.
Its 1.5 litre engine with Sequential Valve Timing (S-VT) delivers a confident and dynamic performance with ample torque delivery and good fuel economy throughout the rev range.
The suspension has been optimally tuned and the steering and braking systems have been improved. The result is agile but stable handling, a high degree of manoeuvrability and reassuring control enabling entry users and experienced drivers alike to enjoy driving with confidence.Built on an all refined platform, the all-new Mazda2 is quieter and thanks to painstaking weight minimisation by Mazda engineers, it weighs less than its predecessor. This refined body structure results in excellent fuel economy, and most importantly it does this without any sacrifice to safety. In fact, quite the opposite – the all-new Mazda2 features improved safety standards.
In addition to dual front SRS airbags the Mazda2 also features side and curtain SRS airbags in all models. Passive safety is further enhanced with the Mazda Advanced Impact Distribution and Absorption System (MAIDAS), while three-point (lap and sash) seat belts are equipped to all three rear passenger seats.
Braking is enhanced through a four-wheel antilock braking system (4W-ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) to ensure good controllability regardless of the weights and positions of occupants and luggage items. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), which reduces the risk of skidding on wet or slippery roads, is also equipped to the Sport models.
